United School District is currently accepting applications for the following vacancies for the 2009-2010 school year:

Athletic Director:   Applicants must be able to demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of arranging interscholastic athletic activities, show and demonstrate ability to organize schedules and paperwork, and be able to effectively communicate orally and in written form.  This is a 12-month management position, salary is negotiable.  Please submit the standard application letter of interest, (Act 151, 34 and 114 clearances will be required before hiring) and a current TB to the Superintendent's Office at the address below.  Deadline is July 20, 2009. Assistant Jr. High Girls Basketball Coach:   Applicants must have knowledge of the sport and have completed or show a willingness to complete a course in Athletic Trainer-Prevention of Injuries and/or show evidence of such coursework. Anyone interested in transferring to this position as well as any other individual should submit a letter of application.   

 

Substitute Custodians, Day-to-Day Substitute Teachers, Substitute Aides  


United School District has an immediate need for substitute custodians, day-to day substitute teachers and aides.  Applications available at the Central Office or at www.unitedsd.net. Please submit a letter of interest, application, resume, Act 151 and 34 clearances, to the Superintendent's Office, 10780 Rte 56 Hwy. E., Armagh, PA 15920. Only complete application packages will be considered.  Applications will be accepted on a continual basis.  EOE

 

Guest Teacher Program

Have a Bachelor's Degree?  Interested in day-to-day substitute teaching in area schools?  A teaching certificate is NOT required, and you can earn approximately $75-90/day

United is participating in the ARIN IU 28 Guest Teacher Consortium. 

 The Guest Teacher Program provides training and emergency substitute permits to allow anyone who has a Bachelor's Degree (but does not have a teaching certificate) to be a substitute teacher for districts in the consortium.
